Thinking + Emotions = Behavior
A Climate Week 2026 offering from the Engagement Lab of the Multi-Sensory Climate Center
Join us and participate in a demonstration of how the Multi-Sensory Climate Center can move us past knowing what people think, to uncovering people’s deeper emotional connections with the climate crisis.
September 23, 2026
Rockefeller Boardroom, 75 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City
Sessions are available at 3:45 PM, 4:45 PM, and 5:45 PM
We will be transforming this elegant boardroom into a visual laboratory. The lights will dimmed, windows blacked-out, and people will be seated around the conference table for approximately 30 minutes.
Using the unique methodology developed and refined for 50+ years by Orfield Labs, participants will be exposed to visual stimulus and instructed in exactly how to record their responses.
Once everyone has completed recording their responses, we will illustrate how scientific measurement of emotions can empower myriad organizations and businesses to more effectively engage people, contribute to a new narrative, and build public demand for effective policy to maintain a stable climate.
We will explain how the Multi-Sensory Climate Center is preparing to do this at scale as the basis for rewriting the climate narrative, and grounding engagement in fundamental emotions.
Other than a darkened room and powerful visual presentations, there are no other stimuli (such as flashing lights).
